Miami-based ArtOfficial consists of Danny Perez on keys, Manny Patino on drums, Ralf Valencia on bass, and Keith Cooper on the saxophone, with vocals provided by emcees Newsense and Logics.

The setup alone beckons the question, "What does a live band with two emcees sound like?" Well, imagine Soulive with a harder edge or The Roots, but jazzier, and wildly spontaneous. Envision blending your favorite groups from hip hop's "golden era," replacing their sampled beats with jazz musicians and injecting a good dose of future funk into the whole equation. This synergy of sound doesn't have to be imagined. It's real — a living, breathing entity that hails from Miami, but thinks globally. Its name is ArtOfficial and its here to make you admire the past and embrace the future.
Today, the six-piece crew is constantly performing around the country, invading the blogosphere, and adding to an already loyal fan base. ArtOfficial is working on its next release titled "Vitamins & Minerals" According to the band, it's everything you'd expect from their energetic live shows, but expanded and executed to perfection. When asked about plans for the future, the band's idea is simple, "do it better, bigger, and to more people!"

"Nurtured in Florida’s West Palm Beach, Judson Rodgers has had long enough to perfect his sound. With his MySpace set up in late 2006, it’s been a long wait, but this current burst of brilliance from the prodigious talent makes it all worthwhile. Recording under the name Sumsun, the sound is one stolen from the tropics, twinkling and bright, whilst similarly steeped in the grime of urban life. It’s beauty is almost unremitting, a celebratory snapshot taking 3 and a half glorious minutes to unfold.
If Mi Ami spent less time trying to fuck with your head and spent more trying to make you want to dance, then they might want to use this as a blueprint. Debut EP Samo Milagro is out now through Leaving Records, and there must surely be a raft of littlelabels beating down Rodger’s door for the next limited run release. This is the backing music to every 80′s workout VHS ever made taken, jazzed up and made into a noise-rock classic."
