The Passenger
The Passenger
Formed in the summer of 2011, The Passenger, is an alternative rock band hailing from the state where old people go to die: Florida. Mentally rooted in the mid-nineties Saturday Night Live/”Grunge” Era, The Passenger, and their music, intend to inspire you to dust off your Doc Martens and tie a flannel around your waist. Their self-produced debut album, “Here Today. Gone To Maui.,” mixed by Ed R
ose(Get Up Kids, Motion City Soundtrack, Appleseed Cast…), embodies a well-rounded, full bodied, super catchy rock sound reminiscent of bands like Jimmy Eat World, The Get Up Kids, Foo Fighters, Weezer, etc… The album lyrics describe vivid memories that run the gambit from Sex to Drugs to Rock and Roll, as evidenced in their lead single, “Easy Come. Easy Go.” The song depicts the true story of a broke touring band, far away from home, getting ripped off on an illicit transaction, playing a show and then easing their troubled minds with a late night trip to an adult massage parlor(please reference album track for R rated details). The band is here to work hard and win over fans one at a time. Thank you for reading this, and we hope to meet you soon!

Alexander & the Grapes
"Alexander and the Grapes packs a sweet and juicy wallop of pop, psychedelic and country. Whether those styles come at you mixed up or distilled with pure directness, there isn’t a bad tune in the bunch."
~ Julie Garisto, TBT
SUNBEARS!
SUNBEARS!
Putting a label on the debut album by Jacksonville Florida's SUNBEARS! is a toughie. They're sort of a synth-psychedelic-indie-noisepop band from space. Plus they break an awful lot of rules in their debut album Dream Happy Dreams, a short, vibrant, colorful little album that sounds like a waterfall of summer love. Recorded in Redding CA, Atlanta GA, and their hometown of Jacksonville, the album has a unique and striking sound, and they obviously know how to craft solid pop music with a foot-tapping beat.

The album opens with Le Penné Pageant, a strolling waltz with slow-building gypsy brass smothered in twisted synth and closes with a relaxed airily synthesized Sunshine at 9 P.M. Everything in between is a whirlwind of influences and originality, cleverly warped into one body and garnished with some very impressive and astute lyrics. Songs like I'm Alive! and Little Baby Pines are catchy and subversive enough to win over any fan of perfectly crafted pop music.
