Pilfers
Pilfers
Pilfers are a legendary band out of New York City that play an infectious, unique sound that blends pop, reggae, hardcore, dub, punk, and ska. Their sound, dubbed “raggacore” features the talents of lead vocalist Coolie Ranx, guitarist/vocalist Nick Bacon, drummer James Blanck, bassist Ben Basile, and trombonist/keyboardist Billy Kottage. Pilfers are well known and loved for their intense live performances that encourage constant crowd participation. Followers of Pilfers have been affectionately named “Pilfers Crew.”

Formed in 1997, Pilfers has toured internationally with the likes of Bad Brains, Zebrahead, Reel Big Fish, the Specials, Madness, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Amazing Royal Crowns, Mustard Plug, and Goldfinger. Pilfers released two albums including a self-titled full-length and Chawalaleng (Mojo Records). In the summer of 2001, the band broke up over various differences. Since 2005, the original line up has come together for several sold out reunion shows along the East Coast for their devoted fans.

In 2013, Pilfers hit the road with Reel Big Fish making new fans across the U.S. and Canada. The strong demand for more from their Pilfers Crew and their love for playing intense live shows has them hitting the road more frequently. Pilfers are currently recording new songs for an upcoming full-length album. Stay tuned for big t’ings to come!
Joystick
Joystick
From the banks of the mighty Mississippi, Joystick doesn’t merely play Ska and Punk - they inhabit it. Built on laser tight rhythms, infectious vocals, and a fierce brass section, Joystick calls up the spirit of 90’s ska/punk while still retaining a strong sense of their New Orleans roots, creating a unique sound all their own. Bombastic but never pretentious, fun but never lazy, intense ...but never serious, Joystick combines Ska, Punk, Hardcore, and Jazz to create something that's genuinely lacking in a great deal of modern music: joy.

Joystick hit the ground running in 2008 and within four months were already on an extensive North American tour with a full length album under their belt. It's easy to tell that the octet are having the time of their lives every time they’re on stage together and they transfer that unadulterated energy to the audience with a seemingly casual effort.

By 2014 Joystick released their much anticipated second and third albums and were brought to new heights with exposure on college radio stations all over the east coast. The band's momentum continued to grow, allowing them to play sold out shows at much larger venues and festivals around North America. In late 2016 Joystick finished recording their most ambitious album to date proving once and for all that they are unstoppable and show no signs of slowing down.
Control This!
Control This!
Control This! has quickly risen to the top of the Central Florida ska and reggae scene since its formation in March of 2012. Formed by saxophonist Jeff Richey, Control This! provides authentic ska, rocksteady and early reggae sounds. After touring the globe for 9+ years in the legendary 2-tone and 3rd wave ska band, The Toasters, Jeff has decided to go back and rediscover the root of his passion for Jamaican music. Control This! pays tribute to Studio One and Treasure Isle sounds of the 1960's and 1970's. From fast-paced traditional ska instrumentals, to the bubbling sounds of rocksteady, to the heavy sounds of lover's rock and reggae, Control This! touch on all the nuances and sophistication of the early Jamaican music.
